Proving Ground
About

A practice that would rather be right than impressive

The name is the method: we prove it on a contained pilot before you bet anything that matters on it.

How we work with you

Senior attention, start to finish

You won't be sold by one person and handed to another. Whoever scopes your pilot stays on it through the build and tells you straight if it didn't work.

We keep engagements small on purpose, so the people doing your work are the people you actually talk to.

Straight about where we are

This is a new practice. There are no case studies here because there are none to show yet.

We could have written some — plenty of firms do. Instead the site cites other people's research and links it, and offers a pilot small enough that you don't have to take much on faith.

When the first pilot closes and the client agrees to be named, it goes up here: the workflow, the before and after, the timeframe.

The philosophy

Augmentation over replacement

Not a slogan — it changes what we'll agree to build.

The repetitive part, not the judgement

We automate drafting, copying, chasing and sorting. The decisions stay with your people — that's where your business's actual knowledge lives.

If the goal is headcount, we’re the wrong firm

We'll say that on the first call rather than three invoices in.

The people doing the work help design it

The exceptions that break automation live in their heads. Skip them and you get a system that looks installed and goes unused.

Sometimes the answer is no

Some bottlenecks are a process problem, or a spreadsheet away from fixed. We'd rather say so than sell a pilot we don't believe in.
